What is Reiki?
REIKI is: Healing universal life energy offered to the client through hands-on gentle touching or through long distance healing. Reiki healing is used to relieve stress and pain and bring about a greater state of peace and well-being.
Reiki is based on the concept that everything in the universe is made up of energy and this “life force energy” can be used to create balance in the human body. When one’s energy field is depleted due to stress, illness, or negative emotions, recharging the energy field and bringing it back into alignment through Reiki and other healing modalities creates a greater flow of energy in the body. This in turn allows the body’s own innate healing abilities to be “jump-started” to promote greater health and well-being.
I have been practicing Reiki for over fifteen years. My work includes checking the chakras (energy centers of the body) to see that they are all open and flowing, giving a Reiki treatment which can promote tranquility, assist in controlling pain, ease stress, and dissolve energy blockages that lead to disharmony and disease.
Treatments also includes toning sounds for healing,and working with individuals to support the energy centers to remain open. Healings may include doing guided meditations, forgiveness work, letting go of control issues and supporting people in their creative process. I also create custom chakra necklaces using semiprecious stones that can support continued healing.
